Through comprehensive functional lab work, I look through close lens at your Hormone, Immune, Digestion, Detoxification, Endocrine, Nervous, and Oxidation Systems. Most of these labs get sent directly to your home and are easy to follow. These specific labs provide answers and connections as to why you’re having the symptoms you are.

Functional Nutrition is a science based and holistic approach to investigating and identifying the root cause of your health problems. Imbalances in your body can lead to symptoms such as digestive complaints, fatigue and weight issues. Functional Nutrition considers every aspect of a person’s health such as diet, history, lifestyle, social, emotional, and physical aspects and how each of these factors contribute to health to provide the best and most effective nutritional recommendations tailored to each bio-individual. In order to restore balance in our bodies, interventions such as therapeutic diets, rest, exercise recommendations, sleep, supplementation and stress reduction strategies are given to the individual. Every individual has a different nutrition blueprint to address what is right for their bodies and how to achieve optimal wellness. Understanding those differences is a key element of my approach.

When Johanna found out that I had Hashimoto’s she was very concerned about my nutritional needs. We met up and she educated me more about Hashimotos and how it affects my body. I did a daily nutrition log and after a week, she had given me a detailed dietary list of recommendations which included what foods to eat, avoid, supplements, herbs, recipes, meal plans, and lifestyle modifications to help me stay healthy.
